Bathroom Doors in Dubai
Waterproof bathroom and toilet doors made not to swell, rot or peel in Dubai's humidity. We supply and fit PVC, WPC, aluminium with frosted glass and sealed marine plywood doors, in standard and custom sizes, for villas, apartments and offices across the UAE.
From AED 700 per door, supplied and installed

Why bathroom doors need waterproof materials
A bathroom door lives in steam, splashes and daily cleaning, and in Dubai the air is humid for much of the year. Ordinary interior doors are not built for that.
Most standard room doors are made of MDF or a hollow core with a thin veneer or laminate. Once water gets into the bottom edge or the cut-outs for the lock and hinges, the core swells, the skin bubbles and peels, and the door starts to stick. Wooden frames that touch a wet floor can rot from the bottom up.
A good bathroom door uses a material that does not absorb water, a frame that does not rot, hardware that does not rust, and a base that is sealed against the floor. That is why we recommend PVC, WPC or aluminium for most bathrooms, and fully sealed marine plywood when you want the door to match wooden bedroom doors.
If your current door is already swollen or peeling, see bathroom door replacement below.
Types of bathroom doors we install
Six door types cover almost every bathroom, toilet and washroom. The right one depends on how wet the room gets, the look you want and your budget.
PVC bathroom doors
Made from rigid PVC panels, so they are fully waterproof, light and easy to wipe clean. The most budget-friendly choice for toilets, maids' bathrooms and rentals, in white, wood-look and textured finishes.
WPC bathroom doors
Wood-plastic composite: a dense, waterproof core that feels solid like timber, holds screws well and can be painted or laminated. A popular upgrade from PVC for villas and new apartments.
Aluminium doors with frosted glass
A slim aluminium frame with frosted, fluted or tinted toughened glass. Nothing to swell or rust, and daylight passes through while the glass keeps the room private.
Marine plywood doors
Water-resistant plywood, painted or laminated to match your bedroom doors. It must be sealed on every face and edge, and suits bathrooms where the door is away from the shower.
Sliding bathroom doors
Pocket, surface-mounted or aluminium sliding doors for small bathrooms and en-suites where a swinging door would block the room. Sliding options.
Folding toilet doors
PVC folding doors for very tight spaces such as small WCs, laundries and store rooms. See our PVC folding doors.
Looking for a door inside the shower itself? That is a shower screen or glass shower door, not a bathroom entrance door. See shower glass.

- You want daylight through a frosted panel (aluminium)
- The door must match wooden bedroom doors (plywood)

What changes the price of a bathroom door
Size
Standard sizes cost less than custom or extra-tall doors.
Finish
Laminates, paint colours, grooves and wood-look textures add cost.
Glass and louvres
Frosted, fluted or tinted glass panels and ventilation louvres.
Frame work
Removing an old rotten frame and repairing the wall or tile edge.
Replacing several bathroom doors in one visit usually lowers the cost per door. Ask us to price the bedroom doors at the same time for a matching finish.
Standard bathroom door sizes in the UAE
Most bathroom doors in Dubai villas and apartments fall into a few common sizes. We always measure the opening before ordering.
| Room | Typical door leaf width | Typical height |
|---|---|---|
| Small WC, powder room, maids' toilet | 600 – 700 mm | 2,000 – 2,100 mm |
| Family and guest bathroom | 700 – 800 mm | 2,000 – 2,100 mm |
| Master bathroom, en-suite | 750 – 900 mm | 2,100 mm or taller |
| Accessible bathroom | 900 mm or wider | 2,100 mm |
- Frame depth: the frame is made to your wall thickness so it finishes flush on both sides.
- Door thickness: PVC and WPC doors are typically about 35–45 mm thick.
- Ready-made or custom: common sizes and made-to-measure doors are usually ready in about 1–2 weeks, depending on size and finish.
Bathroom door locks, hinges and ventilation
The right hardware keeps a bathroom door private, safe and rust-free.
- Privacy lock with emergency release: a thumb-turn inside and a release outside, so the door can be opened in an emergency, for example if a child locks themselves in.
- Stainless steel hinges and handles: grade 304 stainless steel or aluminium hardware resists rust in steamy rooms.
- Occupied indicator: a red/green indicator bolt, useful for guest toilets and offices.
- Door undercut: a small gap under the door, about 10–20 mm, lets the exhaust fan draw in fresh air.
- Louvres or a door grille: for bathrooms with weak ventilation, a louvred panel or grille adds airflow.
- Door stopper: protects tiles, vanity and the handle from knocks.
Tip: in a very small bathroom, choose an outward-opening or sliding door so the door never blocks the person inside.

Sliding and space-saving bathroom doors
When a swinging door would hit the toilet, basin or bed, a sliding bathroom door frees up the space.
Pocket sliding door
The door slides into a cavity inside the wall and disappears. Best done during a renovation, because the wall must be opened or built to house the pocket frame.
Surface or barn-style sliding door
The door runs on a track above the opening, in front of the wall. Quick to fit, but it leaves small gaps at the edges, so sound privacy is lower than a hinged door.
Aluminium sliding door with frosted glass
A slim framed glass door for en-suites and dressing areas, with a privacy lock and soft-close options.
For larger openings and glass sliding systems, see our sliding doors in Dubai.
Glass bathroom doors: frosted, fluted and tinted
A glass bathroom door lets daylight into a dark corridor or dressing area while keeping the bathroom private.
Frosted glass
Smooth, even privacy with soft light. The most popular choice.
Fluted or reeded glass
Vertical ribs blur the view with a more decorative look.
Tinted glass
Grey or bronze tones that suit dark aluminium frames.
Toughened safety glass
Recommended for every glass door, as it breaks into small, blunt pieces if broken.
Bathroom glass door
The entrance door to the bathroom, in an aluminium frame with frosted or fluted glass, a lock and a sealed base.
Shower glass door
A frameless or framed door around the shower itself, in 8–12 mm toughened glass. See shower glass Dubai.
For glass walls that switch between clear and private, see smart glass.
Toilet and washroom doors for homes, offices and hotels
Villas and townhouses
Matching sets for master, guest and maids' bathrooms, often WPC or sealed plywood in the same finish as the bedroom doors.
Apartments
Quick replacement of swollen builder-grade doors with PVC or WPC, in the same opening size where possible.
Offices and retail
Washroom doors with indicator bolts and hard-wearing finishes. See office doors and commercial doors.
Hotels and serviced apartments
En-suite doors, often sliding or glass, chosen for steam, frequent cleaning and quiet operation.
Clinics and gyms
Easy-clean PVC or WPC washroom and changing room doors.
Rental properties
Low-maintenance waterproof doors that survive tenant changeovers.
Bathroom doors for renovations and new fit-outs
Replacing bathroom doors is one of the quickest upgrades in a Dubai home, and it is easiest to plan alongside other work.
During a bathroom renovation
If tiles or walls are being redone, it is the right time to change the frame, move to a pocket sliding door or widen a narrow opening. We coordinate the frame with your tiler so the tile edge finishes neatly against it.
In an occupied apartment or villa
Door-for-door replacement is usually done in a single visit per door, with little dust. Some buildings ask for a work permit before contractors start; we can share the company and work details your building management asks for.
For landlords and property managers we can replace several doors in one visit in a standard finish, so future repairs and replacements stay simple.
How to choose the right bathroom door
- How wet is it? If water reaches the door or the room has no window, choose PVC, WPC or aluminium.
- How much space is there? In small bathrooms, consider an outward-opening, sliding or folding door.
- Do you want daylight? Choose aluminium with frosted or fluted glass.
- Should it match other doors? WPC or plywood can be finished to match your bedroom doors.
- Who uses it? Children and elderly family members benefit from a privacy lock with an emergency release and a lever handle.
- Replace the frame too? If the old frame is soft or dark at the bottom, replace door and frame together.
Bathroom door replacement in Dubai
Many bathroom doors in Dubai apartments are standard MDF doors, which can swell and peel within a few years in a steamy bathroom. These are the signs it is time to replace yours.
Swollen bottom edge
The door rubs the floor or will not close.
Peeling or bubbling skin
Water has reached the core under the laminate.
Soft or dark frame
The frame is rotting where it meets the floor.
Rusty lock or hinges
The latch sticks and the hinges stain the door.
We can replace the door leaf only when the frame is sound, or the door and frame together when the frame is damaged. We remove the old door, fit the new frame square and level, seal its base and hang the door with new hardware. For doors that only need adjustment or a new lock, see door repair.
How bathroom door installation works
Measure
We measure the opening and wall thickness and check the frame, floor level and ventilation.
Choose
Material, finish, glass, lock and hinges are agreed and priced per door.
Make
Most doors are ready in about 1–2 weeks, depending on size, finish and glass.
Fit & seal
Old door removed, new frame fixed and sealed at the base, door hung, lock and swing tested.
On site, each door takes about 2–4 hours; aluminium glass doors take longer than PVC or WPC. More on our door installation service.

Caring for your bathroom door
Cleaning
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild cleaner. Avoid bleach and abrasive pads on laminates.
Ventilation
Run the exhaust fan during and after showers so steam does not collect.
Base seal
Check the silicone at the frame base once a year and renew it if it cracks.
Hardware
Tighten handles and hinges if they loosen; a drop of oil keeps the latch smooth.

Bathroom doors Dubai: FAQs
How much does a bathroom door cost in Dubai?
Approximate prices per door, including frame, standard hardware and installation, are AED 700–1,500 for PVC, AED 1,100–2,200 for WPC, AED 1,000–2,200 for sealed marine plywood and AED 1,500–3,500 for aluminium with frosted glass. Sliding bathroom doors are about AED 1,800–4,500. The final price is fixed after we measure.
What is the best waterproof bathroom door?
PVC and WPC doors are fully waterproof and the safest choice for steamy bathrooms or where water reaches the door. WPC feels more solid; PVC costs less. Aluminium with frosted glass is also waterproof and lets light in.
Which is better for a bathroom, PVC or WPC?
Both are waterproof. PVC is lighter and cheaper, and suits toilets, maids' bathrooms and rentals. WPC is denser, feels like a solid timber door, holds screws better and can be painted, so it suits villas and main bathrooms.
What is the standard bathroom door size in the UAE?
Most bathroom doors are about 700–800 mm wide and 2,000–2,100 mm high. Small WCs often use 600–700 mm doors, and master bathrooms 750–900 mm. We measure every opening before ordering.
Can I use a wooden door for a bathroom?
Only if it is made for wet areas, such as marine plywood sealed on every face and edge, and kept away from direct water. Standard MDF or hollow-core wooden doors swell and peel in Dubai bathrooms.
Are glass bathroom doors a good idea?
Yes, where you want daylight in the corridor or dressing area. We use aluminium frames with frosted, fluted or tinted toughened glass, which is waterproof and private.
What is the difference between a bathroom door and a shower door?
A bathroom door is the entrance door to the room, with a frame and a lock. A shower door is the glass door around the shower itself. We install both; see our shower glass page for shower doors.
Should a bathroom door open inward or outward?
Most open inward, but in a very small bathroom an outward-opening or sliding door is safer, because it cannot be blocked if someone falls inside.
What lock should a bathroom door have?
A privacy lock with a thumb-turn inside and an emergency release outside, so the door can be opened in an emergency. Offices and guest toilets often add an occupied indicator.
Should there be a gap under a bathroom door?
Yes. A small undercut of about 10–20 mm lets the exhaust fan draw in air and helps the bathroom dry out. Rooms with weak ventilation can also have a louvre or grille.
Can a bathroom door be a sliding door?
Yes. Pocket sliding doors hide inside the wall and suit renovations; surface-mounted sliding doors are quicker to fit but give less sound privacy; aluminium sliding doors with frosted glass suit en-suites.
How long does bathroom door installation take?
Most doors are ready in about 1–2 weeks, depending on size, finish and glass. Fitting then takes about 2–4 hours per door on site.
Can you replace only the door and keep the old frame?
Yes, if the frame is straight, dry and solid. If it is soft, dark or swollen at the bottom, we replace the door and frame together so the new door lasts.
Why does my bathroom door swell and peel?
Most standard doors have an MDF or hollow core. Water gets in through the bottom edge and hardware cut-outs, the core swells and the laminate lifts. A PVC, WPC or aluminium door does not absorb water.
Do you supply toilet and washroom doors for offices?
Yes. We supply and fit washroom doors for offices, shops, clinics and gyms, with indicator bolts and hard-wearing, easy-clean finishes.
Do PVC bathroom doors look cheap?
Not necessarily. Modern PVC and WPC doors come in wood-look, textured and plain painted finishes with grooves and glass inserts. WPC can also be painted to match your other doors.
Can bathroom doors match my bedroom doors?
Yes. WPC and marine plywood doors can be finished in the same colour or laminate as your bedroom doors, so the whole corridor looks consistent.
Do you sell ready-made bathroom doors?
Yes, in common sizes as door and frame sets, and we make non-standard, tall or wide doors to measure. Most orders are ready in about 1–2 weeks.
What warranty do you give on bathroom doors?
We give a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the door, frame and hardware. Damage caused by force, impact, misuse, water leaks or changes made by others is not covered.
How private is a frosted glass bathroom door?
Frosted glass blocks a clear view while letting light through. Shapes and lights behind it can show as a soft blur, so for full privacy choose a solid door or a smaller glass panel.
How do I clean and maintain a bathroom door?
Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild cleaner, avoid bleach and abrasive pads, run the exhaust fan after showers and renew the silicone at the frame base if it cracks.
What is the best toilet door for a small WC?
A PVC or WPC door about 600–700 mm wide works well, opening outward if the space is tight. Where there is no room for a swing, a folding or sliding toilet door saves space.
Are PVC bathroom doors strong?
They are strong enough for everyday bathroom use and do not warp or rot, but they are lighter than WPC or timber. If you want a heavier door that feels more solid and blocks more sound, choose WPC.
Are WPC doors affected by termites?
WPC is a wood-plastic composite, and its plastic content makes it highly resistant to termites and moisture compared with ordinary timber or MDF doors.
Do you install bathroom doors outside Dubai?
Yes. We also install in Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the other emirates.
